During both the first lockdown and the period after, Modero took many initiatives to guide contactors and clients through the corona crisis. The emphasis was on mediation and tailor-made solutions. Apart from this corona crisis, these principles are always part of our Modero DNA.
Judicial officers were listed in the Belgian Official Gazette of 1 November 2020 as an essential profession. This means that we can continue our work without restrictions. Nevertheless, we remain committed to looking for amicable solutions and we are sending more SMSs and extra letters. In addition, we also take some additional measures, which you can find below:
1. Our judicial officers follow the sanitary regulations rigorously in every contact with contractors and clients.
2. We can continue to serve legal acts.
3. We still add a cover letter to every communication to our clients. We are ready to facilitate discussions about financial problems and together we look for an appropriate solution for all partiers involved.
4. We try to rule out garnishments of the client’s residence. We try to find amicable solutions as much as possible, so that we do not have to enter the place of residence.
5. A garnishment against a company that is not closed due to the corona measures remains possible.
6. Public auctions that cannot proceed in compliance with sanitary regulations, will be postponed to 11 January 2021 (at the earliest). This also applies to the already announced auction days. The imposed restrictions cannot be followed when organizing auctions in auction rooms.
7. Evictions
- due to termination of the lease are currently excluded;
- can continue for family reasons;
- of non-closed companies can also continue.
