Judgment
A verdict is an official decision made by a judge in a court of law. This decision comes from a lower court, such as the court of first instance, employment court, business court, district court, correctional court, police court or a justice of the peace.
The verdict states who will be right in the dispute. This can be about an outstanding debt, a conflict over a contract, or another legal issue.
In the judgment, the judge also specifies the rights and obligations of the parties involved. That way, you know exactly where you stand.
