Sustainability at Modero: doing business responsibly
Sustainability is not an afterthought for Modero, but a basic pillar of how we work. We believe that corporate social responsibility goes hand in hand with a strong and efficient service.
This means that we not only pay attention to the interests of customers and clients, but also to the wider social impact of our work. Sometimes these interests run parallel, sometimes they clash. In both cases, we take responsibility: consider carefully, communicate transparently and always look for a balanced, forward-looking solution.

Sustainable business
We take responsibility for the impact we leave behind on people and the environment. We do not do this with one major solution, but through concrete steps that together make a difference:
- Digital innovation
We are digitizing our processes to reduce paper consumption and work more efficiently. Examples include digital communication with customers and clients, electronic procedures and software that supports sustainable and cost-efficient solutions.
- Green offices
Step by step, our buildings are being made more energy efficient. We invest in solar panels, energy-efficient lighting, water recovery and green roofs to reduce our environmental footprint.
- Sustainable mobility policy
We encourage cycling and public transport for commuting through bicycle allowances, lease options and a full reimbursement of transport costs. Our fleet for employees is gradually switching to electric vehicles with their own charging infrastructure.
A sustainable work environment
A sustainable organization starts with the people who do their jobs there every day. That is why we focus on:
- Diversity and Inclusion: Our recruitment policy focuses on competencies and potential, regardless of origin, gender or background. This is how we build a workplace that reflects society.
- Health and wellbeing: we offer, among other things, hospital insurances, flu vaccines, mental well-being programs and sports and relaxation activities. Flexible hours and teleworking, on the other hand, ensure a healthy work-life balance.
- Lifelong learning: we continuously invest in the development of our employees by offering training on stress management, mediation and communication skills, among other things. With our own Modero Academy we ensure that bailiffs can receive sufficient training and are trained to become facilitators. This is how we support continued growth, both professionally and personally.
Contributing to an equitable society
We are aware of our social role. This goes beyond our daily assignments. That's why we support initiatives that contribute to an inclusive and financially healthy society.
- Social projects
We are proud partners of City Pirates, a social sports project that offers young people opportunities through football and guidance. Every year, we support their social workers and training programs.
In addition, we participate in the mountain bike races of the UZA Foundation. This organization supports researchers who make a difference for patients by developing new treatments or improving existing ones. You can also play a role in this: your donation can be an important lever to offer patients a real or better solution. We are also committed to Stand Up Against Cancer, including by selling flowers to raise funds for research and support for cancer patients.
- Accessible legal help
We are committed to financial literacy and debt prevention. We do this, among other things, by donating computers to schools, providing free legal advice through social organizations and proactively offering mediation to prevent financial problems.
- Social cooperation
We are members of The Shift, a network of companies and organizations that work together on innovative and sustainable solutions to social challenges.
