That's why we actively bring our expertise to people with the pop-up bailiff: free advice moments where anyone with financial or legal questions can go without an appointment.
During these sessions, our bailiffs are present at locations such as social centers and restaurants and CPAS. Anyone with legal or financial questions is welcome. We take the time to explain everything clearly and work together to find a solution for your specific situation. The conversations are completely confidential and free of charge; they are intended to help you without immediate legal costs.
In this way, we not only mediate and facilitate at home, but we also enter into dialogue ourselves with those who need legal or financial support.
Why this initiative?
Many people only come into contact with a bailiff when their situation is well advanced and extra costs can hardly be avoided. While early advice is often the key to preventing financial problems.
With the pop-up bailiff, we literally bring legal help closer to people. In this way, we lower the threshold for seeking support and make it easier to get timely advice.
Our experience
Modero's pop-up initiative was first tested in 2015 as a pilot project in social restaurant De Harmonie in Brussels. This proved to be a hit and has since been expanded to other locations and cities. Today, our employees regularly volunteer to provide legal advice to various aid organizations and social institutions. For example, our bailiffs play an active role in prevention and mediation, an important pillar of Modero's vision.
